The Law Office of Sean E. Underwood is a full service law firm established in 2005. Unlike larger firms that delegate many tasks to less experienced attorneys, Mr. Underwood created a firm that is focused on individualized and personal client needs. For nearly two decades, he has successfully assisted clients in a broad variety of legal matters in state court, federal court and before numerous administrative agencies. Although Mr. Underwood has extensive litigation experience, the goal of his law practices is designed to find strategic and legal solutions that best serve the interest of each individual client. The firm handles a variety of legal issues but is primarily focused on bankruptcy; consumer law; personal injury; criminal law and DUI defense.
Prior to establishing his own law practice, Mr. Underwood spent a decade with a general practice litigation firm in Washington, DC. He also has a background in government relations consulting that focused on issues related to tort reform, workers' compensation, and product liability.
Mr. Underwood received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 1993, he received a law degree from the Catholic University of America. He is admitted to the bar in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
